YK Flowers is established in 2018 by Osman YANIK and Oral KORURLAR and managed to be a well-known company across the flower industry in a short time. The purpose of YK Flower is to ensure the coordination between the producer and seller and to offer quality and healthy products at affordable prices to consumers. For this purpose, we are at the centre of the sector as YK Flowers. Our production centre in Tavşanlı, Yalova is built on our own property with international standards, significant investment and 40 years of experience in the sector.

At YK Flowers, we supply products to chain markets and especially the global retail giant IKEA, organize the communication network between the producers and the markets, plan the products and offer planning services. To protect and increase the product quality, we encourage environmentally respectful, human-centric and high-quality production, offer such training to producers, create social responsibility projects, create a suitable work environment for the employees and healthily dispatch the plants until we deliver the products to consumers.

We have designed both our production field and office building according to our investments. We kept our production quality at the top level from the first day and we have completed the IKEA-IWAY criteria at the first stage to offer services at an international standard. We received ISO 9001, ISO 28001 certificates and lastly, we initiated the process to get an MPS certificate which is the most reputable certificate at the international level. Our vision as the YK Flowers family is to become the leading business in our country that supply and deliver these plants to every country around the world with a continuous R&D effort. YK Flowers started this journey as a family company and built on trust and respect and continue to work to be a global Turkish company in the plant world with the power from diversity, open-minded and loyal employees, entrepreneur leaders as well as adapting to changing economic conditions, technological developments and strategic structuring by continuously working under any conditions.

WHAT DOES THE SWALLOW IN OUR LOGO MEAN?

The swallow is the common name for the birds in the (Hirundinidae) and these birds can live anywhere other than the poles.

Swallows surprise humans with their superior intelligence and techniques to build their nests.

These birds are experts to build nests and using their intelligence to make their nests as strong as possible. While they sometimes choose the materials like architecture, they work on these materials like an engineer in other cases to raise attention.

The female swallow combines the soil collected with her beak with the saliva of the male and build a strong nest in 8 days from hay and other plants. They use their large and flat beak as a trowel to lay the mud on the nest. The nests are small enough to fit the swallows and laid with feathers.

The swallow is a sacred and valued bird among the Uyghur Turks. The swallow is the symbol of friendship and compassion and it is known as the “bird that saves humans from trouble and problems”. Therefore, Uyghur Turkish have special nests for them on the roofs and above the doors of their houses. Because there is the belief that “there will be luck in the house that the swallow builds a nest”. When the swallows do not come back to their nests in the fall, they burn incense and pray for these birds to come back.

The swallow symbolizes new beginnings and hope. This is one of the birds on Noah’s Arc and it is expressed as the bird that saved humans from the snake. The swallow saving humans is one of the factors highlighted in this legend.

These birds are hard-working, productive and clean.

The swallows are the symbol of friendship and pureness

and one of the masters of the sky. They can fly for 8 hours without giving a break.

These birds are known as the messenger of the spring among the people. And these birds are loved by everyone.
